From Childhood Dreams to Professional Mastery

Sonya's passion for hair began so early she can hardly remember when it started. As a young girl, she would play with her sisters doll head, giving her Barbies fresh hairstyles and haircuts. By middle school, that early fascination had grown into something deeper.. During career day in the 7th grade, a hairstylist spoke to her class, and in that moment, Sonya realized she could turn her love for hair into a career. Despite having no one in her family in the beauty industry, she felt called to it, and she followed that calling with certainty.

Right after high school, Sonya attended Empire Beauty School in Lawrenceville, Ga. After obtaining her Master Cosmetology License, she began her career at Toni & Guy Salons, where she was trained in precision cutting, a technical foundation that elevated her eye for detail as an artist.

By 2010 during the recession salon opportunities had slowed, and Sonya transitioned into the gold- buying business in search of financial stability. But even during those two years, her heart remained in the beauty industry. As soon as the gold market shifted, in 2012 she returned to the beauty industry and joined Dream Dry (formerly know as GlowDry)- one of Atlanta's first blowout salons in Buckhead, Atlanta.

That decision changed everything. At Dream Dry, Sonya rediscovered her love for hairstyling, learned makeup application, and built relationships with professional freelancers across bridal, fashion, commercial, and film. Her network quickly expanded, leading her to private clients, weddings, and landing her first hair and makeup film job at WSB- Tv for Atlanta's local news anchor's. She eventually transitioned to working full time in the film industry and became a proud union member of Iatse Local 798 representing Hairstylists & Makeup Artists.

Today, Sonya continues to work in the film industry while pouring her passion into building her online hair extension brand and reconnecting with the bridal world.

In 2018, my brides fueled the vision for my hair extensions line. While I consistently delivered results, I knew the hairstyles could be elevated with extensions that truly matched my standard. Driven by the desire to offer better quality, I began to source my own hair and started making my own hairpieces and clip ins on my sewing machine.

Fast forward to 2025, that vision has been reinvented and elevated. With a strong team and trusted sourcing, I now offer premium clip ins and raw indian single- donor hair, the same hair I trusted and used to make wigs and hair pieces years ago.
